Many books are available in both hardcover and paperback. The links below point to the paperback version whenever possible. If a link points to the paperback, and you would rather have a hardcover version, first click on the link to get to the page for the paperback edition, then click on the author's name. This will usually give you a list of all books by that author, with the hardcover edition near the top of the list.

For those of you interested in aviation, you might be interested in these books. The first two are both excellent, informative, and very entertaining. Unfortunately, they're also out of print, but you might be able to find them if you look hard enough. Or let Amazon.com find them for you. The third one was just recommended to me by some of my friends (also pilots), but I haven't read it yet. The others are books I've been meaning to read for some time, or just look interesting.

Free Fall!
An excellent book about a true story - A Canadian 767, enroute over Canada at 41,000 feet, runs out a fuel.
