In order to keep the number of maps to a minimum, the printing on the maps is
intentionally small, but still easily readable.
Currently, maps for all known areas are available.
The maps have the following classifications:
FINAL - I've verified that everything on the map is correct,
and am confident that they are accurate, and fairly confident
that they are complete. (Simu hides things very well indeed! I won't
delude myself into thinking I find everything they hide.)
PRELIMINARY - I've drawn the map, but have not yet personally
verified that the mapping is correct.
MISSING - Haven't even drawn the map yet.
There are about 50 maps total. This
Global Map shows how all the maps connect to each
other. It also shows the current status of each map.
Special Note about new creature levels and locations
Aephir has recently introduced a new critter system which allows for far
more interesting monsters than before. One of the features of this system is
that a creature is no longer a single, fixed, level, but can have a range
of levels. Statistics and possibly capabilities of the creatures vary
along with critter ranges.
Because of this, it's now very difficult to get the correct age of a critter.
While I can go and accurately measure the age of a single sample of a
particular critter, there's no easy way for me to tell if that's the only
age the critter comes in, or in a wide range. For that matter, there's no
way to know if the ranges I do know about show the full range of that
critter's levels.
Therefore, when you see the age of a critter on my maps, take it with a
grain of salt. There could be other critters of the same type wandering
around that are substantially older or younger than what I have listed.
Critters now tend to wander a lot more than they used to, frequently leaving
their normal areas. Sometimes, they can wander quite a distance. Don't be
surprised to see creatures in areas bordering where they appear on the maps.
