Can't attend the auction onboard the Foehn's Promise (NEWS 1 11, NEWS 1 9)? Several local merchants will be setting up shop in the Landing for the duration of the airship's visit in honor of Founders month. The merchants have announced that their wares will be available to all citizens. Four Winds membership is not required.

The premium auction is set for March 24th - March 27th and will be held within a rarely seen Elven Airship. No landing spot has been determined as of yet. The airship itself will house the auction rooms, and only be accessible to those Four Winds members of two months or longer.
The auction itself will be comprised of three sets of rooms. A room strictly for bidding silver, a room set up for bidding by token, and a room for Four Wind Members of no less than one year which will also feature bidding by token. Auction times will be 12 - 6 pm eastern on both Saturday and Sunday in all three rooms. Players may venture back and forth between the silver and token rooms, and into the one-year and up room if eligible as they wish. However, a player may only win one item regardless of which room it is won in. Auction rules for the silver rooms will apply effective immediately, and are available simply by typing AUCTION. The silver bidding will not be divided up by amount or age, it will simply be, high bid wins. Tokens will be provided to all eligible folks attending the auction, but the token will only be given to the first member of your account family entering the airship, so be sure you board the vessel carefully. Bidding by token affords an equal chance to all bidders, and the selection of the winner is purely random. Lastly, a wide variety of merchants are expected to visit and investigate the landing of this airship, so we expect a wide variety of goods and services available to all players, regardless of Four Winds status. These merchants will be setting up shop near the airship, and should have a very interesting assortment of wares to show. |

Important information regarding the upcoming auction! Please note the following: the airship will be descending into the Landing around nightfall on Friday (Huntsday) the 24th. There will be -no- special transportation provided to the airship from other towns, so you'll need to arrange to get to the Landing on your own!
Only one adventurer on your account will be able to enter the airship, so please choose wisely. That adventurer may board as they wish, but will also need to have the entrance fee of 100,000 silvers in silver or note form to board. Be advised that using your token to purchase a consolation prize means that you can no longer bid on any items in the auction, so it is recommended that you do not use yours to do so until you are absolutely positive that you're finished with the event. GMs will not be able to restore your token. There will be a sign posted in the room with the consolation items to remind you of this! |

The mechanics handling the skinning of creatures for pelts, scalps, etc., have changed. Type SKIN for usage. There are now variable levels of quality for pelts, and if you are skilled in Trading and/or First Aid, you may be able to APPRAISE your pelts to determine just how great you are at skinning!
The type of item that you use to skin a creature with will influence how well you do. Sharp tools are recommended for most tasks (so don't try skinning that rolton with your club!). |

The Order of Lorekeepers are proud to present a weekend of activities in honor of Founder's Month.
Friday, March 10: Lord Annorax's Lore Contest will take place at 3 PM Elven and 9 PM Elven. The Lorekeepers will host the Founder's Ball at 10 PM Elven. Saturday, March 11 The Empaths of Silverwood Manor will hold a Mix & Match contest at 10 PM Elven. Annorax's Lore Contest will take place at 3 PM Elven and 9 PM Elven. The Rangers of Silverwood Manor will hold a skinning competition at 2 PM Elven. Sunday, March 12: The Empaths of Silverwood Manor will lead a Treasure Hunt at 3 PM Elven. The Rangers will sponsor an Archery Contest (to be held at Willow Hall) at 5 PM Elven. The Sorcerers of Silverwood Manor will lead a tour of the graveyard at 9 PM Elven. Lord Armaxis will be telling the tale of the Shadow Valley following the graveyard tour at 11 PM Elven. Silverwood Manor in Wehnimer's Landing is located one east from the Temple, at 200 Erebor Square. |
