4/28/2000 | Troll Scout and Massive Troll King Sightings |
---|---|
"The Spy" reports that yesterday a troll scout was seen in the coastal cliffs, and quickly disposed of. Today several MTKs showed up in the town well, and in the catacombs. NOTE, MTK= Massive Troll King. | |
4/28/2000 | Giantman Village moved again??? |
Iwas reports that the Gianman Village, which until recently had been in Upper Trollfang, and recently moved halfway to Solhaven, has moved yet again, this time to the Lysierian Hills. If there's one thing a map maker hates, it's a village that won't stay put! | |
4/28/2000 | Castle Varunar Invasion |
Datrotic reports:
Varunar was invaded today, living warlocks, monks, and dark priests. The living part makes it odd. I don't have logs or descriptions, (lots of adjectives on warlocks and months). Monks were about 50, warlocks 65, priests 55. Warlocks did a lot of ass kicking with focused implode. Unknown intentions, however, due to the fact they were living, I doubt they will stay away. |

4/28/2000 | Treasure Improvements |
OK, this really isn't all that new - it's maybe a few weeks old. But I haven't really done much hunting since then, so this is the first time I've really been able to look into it. Critters are definitely wealthier than they used to be. The largest box I've heard of so far was a whopping 190 pounds. That box came from a fire mage. This, combined with the recent skinning changes that have made skins roughly twice as valuable as before (assuming you're good at skinning), is good news for everyone trying to save up a few silvers here and there. | |
4/25/2000 | Breakage Messaging (again?) |
The breakage system messaging has been released as a test of how the system will operate.
Weapons and armors have an inherent material strength and durability.
The items will degrade when they come in contact with each other through normal use.
You may LOOK at an item to see its integrity value.
The integrity denotes the current deterioration state of the item.
When items clash through use, there is a chance that the weaker item will sustain irreparable damage and be rendered useless.
A message will indicate such an occurence.
During the test, no item will be removed from the game resulting from such irreparable damage,
though a message will be shown to indicate the possibility of such an outcome.
At any time, you may invoke FIX to restore an item to its original status.
This seems to be old news, so I wonder why they are telling us about it again. Perhaps they're planning on releasing breakage for real soon? |

The Voln Tapestry has changed somewhat. The scene in the Abandoned Inn is gone, and is replaced with an image of the Pentagram Room in Anwyn Castle. | |
4/22/2000 | Ocotillo Zoo |
Last night, the Ocotillo Zoo opened up in Solhaven. It's located just south (yes, south) of the Esplanade, a bit east of Liabo Plaza. It's a great little zoo, and definitely worth making the trip to Solhaven just to see it. | |

4/21/2000 | Butterflies! |
A faint glow appears just overhead, then enfolds you in a soft warmth. Before you can blink, the glow dissipates, leaving you with a feeling of general well-being.
Seconds later, you notice something new: a silver chrysalis attached to your clothing. As you carefully pry your chrysalis open, the blue fairywing butterfly within delicately unfolds its silken wings, displaying large pearly white speckles fading into the forewing with small soft grey crescents shimmering on the hindwing. |

They've closed the doors, not permitting anyone in while the renovations are underway. Although noone seems to know for sure what they are doing, rumors abound as to whether they are adding new rooms, possiblyfor new kinds of their undead brethren, or doing something far more sinister - such as opening the Inn for business once again, and thus undermining the livelihood of the Silvergate Inn! | |
