2/25/2001 Multon's Wagon Arrives!
Multon's merchant wagon has pulled up to the steps of Zephyr Hall. The wagon will stay there for about a week before it moves to Teras.

2/20/2001 Innkeepers to renovate tables
The Innkeepers Guild, in conjunction with the Cooperative Houses of Elanthia have issued the following statement:

On 4 Charlatos 5101, all tables within Inns and Houses will begin extensive remodeling. In addition to sanding, waxing, and polishing, our work crews will be, by popular demand, removing the impediments that prevent many citizens from using a table. Many people have expressed extreme displeasure at being unable to get a table frequently during the day, causing intense frustration and loss of revenue for the Inns.

These changes will hopefully alleviate many concerns our customers have had. The Guild would like to take the opportunity to remind you, for your safety, the only private areas are closed, latched rooms, and we thank you for your patronage.

2/10/2001 New Lockpick changes are here
The new lockpicks have arrived! The specifics of the change are being discussed in the Rogue Category, the Lockpicking Topic on the Gemstone bulletin boards, but the highlights are listed here.

There is a more robust system of breakage weakness factors and materials.

The hooks are in the new system to allow (eventually) for players to be able to repair and create their own picks.

The type of lockpick allowed to be used will be regulated by your training in lockpicking.

The HIGHEST quality picks will be much stronger in respect to weakness, brittleness, and breakage.

Any questions? Please visit us on the Bulletin Boards.

2/6/2001 Corruptions Uncovered! Pickpockets beware!
The local law enforcement officials of Wehnimer's Landing and Icemule Trace have recently been disciplined for their failure to carry out their proper duties in serving the citizenry of those towns. Rumours from high-placed sources hint that the constables and guards may have been accepting payoffs from a local ring of notorious pickpockets, or perhaps were simply imbibing so much in the local taverns that they ceased to care about accusations of theft.

Rest assured that this corruption of the local law enforcement has been remedied, and officials of the law will now exert a reasonable effort to carry out their duties in investigating and filing charges against pickpockets and petty thieves.

[A bug which was affecting the likelihood of successfully using ACCUSE to file charges against a thief has been fixed.]

2/1/2001 Premium Plus benefits have started!

2/1/2001 Year in review
The year 2000 was a very successful one in GemStone III. Among other things, GemStone III celebrated its 10th anniversary in February 2000, saw the release of many new spells and roleplaying verbs, and has surpassed its own record by more than tripling the number of roleplaying events each month! With great pride, we are pleased to present to you a list of some of the most notable accomplishments that the staff of GemStone III has brought to you over the past year.

Got a comment about the list, or want to see what your fellow players are saying about it? Check out the "Suggestions, Comments & Concerns" topic in the "Discussions with Simutronics" category of the GemStone III Message Board.
