Former members of the Councils of Magic have turned against their ways, and sought to claim higher power for their own, magic intended to be released to the populace once finished. The first spell, this proclaimed Triad, went after was the Spirit Slayer spell of the Major Spiritual sphere.
The Triad attempted to use the life essence of clerics and empaths all around Elanith as foci for crafting the final phases of the spell. But, in a maneuver by the current Councils of Magic, the plan was foiled, and the spell was released to its originally intended recipients. The Spirit Slayer spell summons a spirit from the surrounding area into being (seen when looking at the caster) that swirls around the caster. This spirit, when summoned, will have a large chance of re-casting an offensive spell cast by the cleric / empath at their target, with an increased strength. Ware be to Wizards and Sorcerers, the Triad has in its possession two more spells of Major Elemental magic, and Sorcerous magic. When they will attempt to claim these spells, one cannot be sure. It is best to be prepared at a moment's notice. |

GM Mestys has given Bards a winter gift, Troubadour's Rally (1040)!
Troubadour's Rally (1040) Mnemonic: SHOUT 1040 - Note: There is no need to PREP this spell, simply SHOUT 1040 DURATION: Immediate TYPE: Defense/Utility Through this spell a bard may, with a sufficiently powerful cry, rally his comrades. A strong shout can waken the sleeping, bestir the calmed, break a stun, return lost mobility, and even bring the recumbent to their feet. A debilitated bard can attempt to rally himself with shout, however, because of his impaired condition this will be more difficult than rallying others. The same cast of SHOUT that frees the Bard also has the possibility of freeing his group, but the group cannot be freed by a SHOUT unless the Bard is free of sleep, calm, stun, and immobility. Please refer to the Bard folder "Bard Magic, Spells and Spellsongs" on the message boards for a discussion and the mechanics of the spellsong. |

Join the Black Wolves Clan to celebrate the coming of winter! To bring out the fun of the season, they will be hosting a snow sculpting contest. Come out and show your talents by shaping something spectacular! The first 10 people to register will be allowed to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes. All contestants must sign in by 9:00 PM with an officer inside the tent to be considered for the competition. Sculptures will be judged on originality, style, and overall impression. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, and all that enter will receive a special token of thanks.

HELP is all new!
Some nice coding by GM Ildran has made the in game HELP system much more flexible and useful. The result is that, as of today, you can get HELP when you need HELP. The topics in Help have been updated and new links added. HELP INDEX should prove useful to new players and old hands. Also Ildran's efforts have produced another improvement. There is now a HELP VERB command. HELP VERB SMILE; HELP VERB GRIN; HELP VERB INVENTORY, are a few examples. Not every verb is in the help system, simple verbs GIGGLE, JUMP, etc will not yield a matching file if you search for HELP with them. Hope this is HELPful! |
