The Proprietors of Thurl's Leaf and Drink on Teras Island and The Pinefar Smoke Shop, announce, with great jubilation, further improvements to their already excellent cigars.
Connoisseurs of the cured leaf may now rejoice in a greater variety of messages, sure to enhance their smoking pleasure. Matches and matchbooks are no longer the only fuel sources available, but smokers should take comfort in the familiarity of the commands. So you may still settle in your favorite chair and LIGHT your cigar. TAP or KNOCK it to remove excess ash, SMELL it to appreciate the excellent aroma, and PULL or PUFF upon your cigar to smoke it. When you are through be sure to EXTINGUISH your cigar. In addition, larger cigars will afford a longer smoking experience than smaller specimens, so plan accordingly. Finally, be on the look out for unique tobacco merchants offering varieties of cigars unavailable in Pinefar and Teras. |

Ebon Gate: The Return of Velathae
The Merchant Consortium of Greater Elanith has been preparing this year's Ebon Gate event with extra secrecy involved. All that they will let slip is that the Ebon Gate celebration will not take place in the old location, but rather somewhere new. This year's Ebon Gate comes in two package prices: Option A - This ticket ($40) allows its holder into the brand new festival grounds and access to all the events, games, and the celebration. Option B - This ticket ($100) will allow its holder all the above, plus admission into an auction for a guaranteed auction-quality item. The Great Taffy Hunt In an effort to get the word out about the upcoming Ebon Gate celebration, the Merchant Consortium has decided to have a Great Taffy Hunt. Hundreds, if not thousands, of wrapped taffy have been produced and will be scattered across all of Elanith between the 15th of Phoenatos (August 15th) and the 15th of Imaerasta (September 15th). Twenty-six (26) taffies will be extremely special as on the inside of their wrapper will either be an offer to reserve purchase of a full priced ticket, or an offer for FREE admission into the festival grounds and auction! That's right, you heard correctly! So start searching, unwrapping and eating as much taffy as you can find! Maybe you will be one of the lucky twenty-six to gain entrance into this year's brand new Ebon Gate through the Great Taffy Hunt! Rules: You have one (1) week to write to the given e-mail address, from the time of opening the taffy, to state whether you wish to keep or return the winning taffy. A visitor to Helgreth's Tavern reported that the semi-domesticated game around Yander's Farm and the nearby hills has seemed more skittish of late, and many have fled their pens and stalls. What exactly caused the disturbance? The traveller seemed uncertain. Military patrols have also reported minor orc incursions in the hills southwest of Ta'Vaalor.
Novice adventurers are advised to be alert if they are hunting in these areas! Some areas have become more dangerous than they were before. * Most creatures in the Yander's Farm and Rambling Meadows areas beyond Ta'Vaalor's Victory Gate have been moved or replaced by more capable creatures. Hunters, be warned! |

LOCATION will allow you to determine the name of the area you are in currently. Adventurers seeking tasks from the new Adventurer's Guild may find this verb particularly helpful, as many tasks from the guild are based on performing certain duties in a particular area. |

The Bounty system has been released into Prime! Adventurer Guilds are located in each major town in the following locations:
Wehnimer's Landing: North Ring Road Teras Isle: Glaes Street Solhaven: Latirus Lane River's Rest: Sandy Path Icemule Trace: East Road Ta'Illistim: Fraendel Var Ta'Vaalor: Glimaerstone Var Zul Logoth: Ruby Tunnel This system introduces a way for players to earn experience, fame, silver, and Bounty Points redeemable for various goods and services. To participate, go to your local Adventurer's Guild, find the resident taskmaster, and ask him/her for a task. You can check your task progress and other bounty information by using the BOUNTY verb. Tasks may include: 1. Killing creatures of various sorts, including some creatures special to the bounty system 2. The retrieval of heirlooms 3. Skin collecting 4. Gem collecting 5. Herb procurement from specific locations 6. Escorting travellers between towns 7. Rescuing lost children Tasks will be tailored to your level and ability. When you complete your task you will receive Bounty Points, redeemable in the rewards shop located in each guild location. This release officially ends the Beta testing phase in Platinum. However, we have decided to not remove the existing bounty points from beta testers in Platinum, as previously planned. Our thanks to all those who helped test this system! |

The ruckus continued, followed by a horrible smell. Fortunately you can now STARE EAST. Then you hear people yelling, they are saying it is your fault! Good thing you can GLARE EAST!
