| A long awaited feature had been added to the fame code that will allow you to remove your name from the fame lists. Simply turn off your fame flag by typing "flag !fame" and check into one of your local Inns. As long as you leave your fame flag turned off your name will not appear on the fame lists. If you wish to have your name on the fame list, then simply turn your fame flag on (type "flag" for usage) before you check into the Inn and if you qualify your name will be there for all to see. | |

Great news, the gem shop in the landing can now purchase your gems in lots. Rather than painstakingly appraising your treasure, merely ask the gem dealer to appraise your container. He'll look it over, and offer you a price for the whole kit and kaboodle. If you like his offer, merely sell him the container. He'll remove the gems he wants, and give you back your container along with your coins.
He's not much interested in anything but gems though, he won't touch your jewelry, junk or cursed items, so don't worry about losing that chipped brick you've been hoarding for years. |

Once upon a time... So long ago that even to Elves it is merely a folk story, there was a Queen who ruled in a land long since reclaimed, renamed, and reclaimed again. The Queen was quite powerful, a natural magician of extraordinary ability, and seemingly immortal, but Human in appearance. After much study and more than a few unintentional catnaps, the scholars at the Elanthian Bardic College have completed a new spellsong: Lullabye!
The unfortunate victim err... lucky recipient of the bard's sweetly sung cradlesong, if they aren't fortunate enough to resist the song's pull, may become drowsy... experience slowed movement... become temporarily mesmerized and immobile, or even fall completely asleep. The lullabye is effective against both other adventurers and all manner of foul beasties. The solstice, the turning of the season, is almost upon us. In keeping with tradition, a Solstice tree will be raised in the town of Wehnimer's Landing and decorated with festive ornaments. For weeks intrepid rangers have been scouting the Great Forest in search of the perfect Solstice tree. One has been located and is even now being laboriously carted to the Landing.
Come join the fun! On Restday, day 19 of the month Eorgaen, at 9 pm, the tree will be dedicated and decorated...and the celebration of the turning of the season will begin. |

The Fourth Place position was added due to a misunderstanding on the part of Merchant Faeilythe. All winning collections were verified. Winners should watch the NEWS for an announcement of Faeilythe's return within the week to begin alterations. Beginning at about 9:30 PM Elven and running until either midnight or until at least three teams have won, Faielythe gathers the townsfolk for a Landing-wide Scavenger Hunt!
RULES: 1.) You must form a team of no less than 2 and no more than 5 players. 2.) All items must be presented and turned in at one time and all members should be present when turning them in. 3.) Players caught buying their items publically will be disqualified. 4.) A full list of items will be released here when the hunt begins. AWARDS: FIRST PLACE: Each member of the team will receive a certificate good for a free "detailed" alteration and a gold medal. SECOND PLACE: Each member of the team will receive a certificate good for a free "medium" alteration and a silver medal. THIRD PLACE: Each member of the team will receive a certificate good for a free "simple" alteration and a bronze medal. Teams should meet Faielythe at the appointed hour in the Moot Hall Assembly Room. |

The long awaited Message Board Reorganization was put into effect over the Thanksgiving Holiday.
At first the organization of the message boards may appear confusing. For the time being we are keeping all of our old topics and categories as "read only" in order to preserve the current threads of discussion. These old "read only" categories are numbered 1-50. The new working categories and topics are numbered greater than 51. If you have trouble finding the appropriate topic to post in, you'll find directions posted in a new "reorganization" topic in the old category. Thank you for your patience as we endevour to give you a better message board experience. |
